York

York is a quintessentially British destination with its cobbled streets and a 14th century city centre. It’s almost hard to believe the quaint city was once the capital of Viking Britain.

The city boasts many attractions from award-winning museums to beautiful architecture.  There are many reasons you should visit York and here’s why:

York Minster:

Dating back to the 7th century, York Minster is a one of the most spectacular cathedrals in the world.  The cathedral has a unique medieval gothic style and houses over 800 years’ worth of stained glass.

The Shambles

Inspiring Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films, there’s no denying the magical vibe on York’s most famous street. Wander in and out of the Elizabethan buildings now home to independent stores and cafes.
