The unappointed capital of Yorkshire, Leeds is a cultural and educational playground. The city cemented its place as an important British destination during the industrial revolution.

The industrial revolution changed the small market town to a city known for ‘manufacturing everything’. The main export of Leeds was cloth, which complements the fact it’s a popular shopping city today.

Whether you’re looking to waste a couple of hours shopping, exploring museums or simply embracing the atmosphere… here are some suggestions for your visit to Leeds.

Discover sculpture at The Henry Moore Institute

One of the largest sculpture galleries in Europe and home to several award-winning exhibitions. You can explore four galleries and the sculptural library.
